Tim Black accepts new challenge

After seven very fruitful years with Quasset, Dr. Timothy Black will leave Quasset in January 2021 to join Invert Robotics. We congratulate Tim on this next step in his career, a remarkable opportunity to develop robotic solutions for non-destructive inspection services, and one in which he can leverage experience gained at Quasset. We are looking forward to further collaboration after his transition.
Tim has been a wonderful team member at Quasset. His career progressed rapidly: first as Robotic Inspection Technology Engineer, then as Business and Innovation Manager, and finally as CTO in 2019. During his tenure, Tim was part of many prominent joint industry initiatives including PETROBOT, a groundbreaking collaboration that brought together the petrochemical and robotics industries. He also led numerous innovations within Quasset, resulting in well-recognized digital tooling products such as AssetBuilder and HoloGrid. We are very grateful for his contributions that have led to the strong team that Quasset has in place today.
Tim Black commented:
“Starting with Quasset close to its birth and now seeing it grow into the company it is today, has made me very proud to be part of the team. It has been an absolute pleasure to work with Tjibbe, Luc and the team over the past 7 years, I have greatly relished and appreciated the opportunities that Quasset has given me. The new technical and business skills I have learned, new ways of thinking, and in particular the mentoring and friendship that has made me grow into the person that I am today. All of these (and more) I will take with me throughout my career. I will always look back on this time with the team as wonderful and career-defining.”
Tjibbe Bouma, CEO at Quasset:
“It has been an absolute joy to work with Tim over the past seven years and I would like to thank him for all his contributions. We take great pride in hiring exceptional individuals and support their growth. When Tim joined there were just four people at Quasset, now he leaves a strong and rapidly growing team of 35 amazing talents around the world. We are looking forward to continuing our collaboration in his new role.”
Attracting new talents is a continuous part of our growth strategy and we have a strong team in place. In the transition, Tjibbe Bouma and Luc Stakenborg will coordinate the redistribution of Tim’s client portfolio and responsibilities to the team.
