2019 program including workshops and training courses
We are pleased to announce the comprehensive program for the 2019 Quasset Academy, which includes interactive workshops and asset management training courses throughout the year.
Recognizing an industry need for more collaboration and knowledge sharing, we have added the Achieve Breakthrough Deployment workshop series to Quasset Academy. These 1-day intensive workshops are designed to help companies bridge the gap between innovation and practical added value. By bringing together experts, suppliers and end-users to explore specific industry topics, participants gain a practical, hands-on approach to finding solutions.
Achieve Breakthrough Deployment is in collaboration with Deployment Matters, who recently launched the Technology Catalogue, providing an overview of the best suppliers in the industry, offering end-users a more complete picture of technology to deploy.
Throughout 2019, four Achieve Breakthrough Deployment workshops are planned, covering topics e.g. tank inspection and maintenance, drones and robotics in confined space entries and digital twins.
All of the Achieve Breakthrough Deployment workshops are free of charge, but by invitation only.
In collaboration with MISI Consultancy, two specialized workshops on Minimum Intervention Strategy for Inspection are planned this year. Participants will learn how to apply non-intrusive inspection where possible, replacing human entries for inspection with robot inspections, as well as reducing the scope for turnarounds by optimizing the use of risk-based inspection analysis.
The Minimum Intervention Strategy for Inspection workshops are especially developed and suited for asset managers, maintenance managers, maintenance and reliability engineers, shutdown managers, inspectors, supervisors, managers of transport pipelines, and other specialists who work in the petrochemical industry.
Both workshops will be led by expert Martin van den Heuvel, an international innovation and inspection strategist with a long track record working with large petrochemical companies.
In addition to the various workshops, Quasset Academy also offers high-quality asset management training courses in collaboration with The Woodhouse Partnership Limited. These IAM-acknowledged diploma training courses offer participants a deep-dive into the principles and practices of asset management for those seeking IAM Diploma qualification, preparing participants for the two-stage examinations for Diploma qualification.
The program is suited to experienced practitioners with existing or recent industrial or infrastructure asset management responsibilities, in particular those to their work environment.
