Quasset member of the H2020 PILOTING Project Consortium
This week marks the kick-off of a new European Horizon 2020 project, PILOTING, which focuses on the use of robotic technologies to increase efficiency and quality of inspection and maintenance of aging infrastructures.
The fourteen-member consortium will collaborate on the H2020 PILOTING Project to advance the adaptation, integration, and demonstration of robotic solutions in an integrated platform, which will be tested and evaluated in three large-scale pilots: refineries, bridges/viaducts and tunnels with the involvement of all the actors that conform the full value chain.
This H2020 project addresses challenges the Inspection and Maintenance industry faces, namely the reduction of current inspection costs and outage time, the production and access to reliable inspection data, and the increase of personnel safety.
Quasset’s role in this project includes the development of the I&M Intelligence and Visualization portal (WP5), specification and design of PILOTING I&M robotic-based platform (WP2), and the testing of the systems in the large-scale pilots (WP7).
