Meet the Quasset team in the Philippines (QPH)
In 2019 Quasset expanded to Asia, opening an office in the capital city of the Philippines.
Expanding the team to Manila has played an important role in ongoing and future projects, helping to streamline Quasset’s operations and accelerate the development of various software tooling.
We now have four offices around the globe and are proud of the digital communication processes we have in place for our team. With daily video meetings, fully-aligned workflows and weekly “lunch and learn” sessions, we are committed to functioning as one global Quasset team.

Introducing Maricar Mahusay, Jelo Hipolito Cruz, Patrick Ursolino, Justin Adrian Pelayo, Bernie Ngojo Jr. and general manager of the Quasset Philippines office (QPH), Ferdinand Ubanos.
Office manager Maricar Mahusay was Quasset’s first employee in Manila. With more than 10 years’ experience in handling administrative operations, finance, and human resources, her professional knowledge and skills bring high-level support to the company’s office administration.
She also assists with back-office administration for the SPRINT Robotics Collaborative, a global not-for-profit organization that promotes the development, availability, and application of robotic technology for inspection and maintenance of capital-intensive infrastructure. Prior to joining Quasset, Maricar worked as an Admin Manager at Bizbox Asia Consulting Inc., a company that provides consulting and outsourcing services, particularly for business management systems, business registration and bookkeeping services. She has also worked as Shared Service Supervisor for Parlance Business Solutions International, Inc., a company that focuses on audit, taxation and accounting services for small and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs).
Maricar is a graduate of St. Paul University in Manila and holds a Business Administration Major in Marketing Management.
Jelo Hipolito Cruz, joined Quasset in 2019 as a Full Stack JavaScript Developer. He is one of the main developers working on Quasset’s Q-Portal and Q-Pro, tooling which helps organizations maximize their assets with the power of data. Jelo has more than five years’ experience in Software Development/Web Development, with a focus on Customer Relationship Management and Data Science. Jelo previously worked at Unilever as research and development lead for customer relationship management, creating data analytical tools for supermarkets to improve customer interaction and promotion.
Jelo is a graduate of Information Technology from Polytechnic University of the Philippines.
Patrick Ursolino, joined Quasset in mid-2019 as a Full Stack JavaScript Developer. He is responsible for developing state-of-the-art B2B and B2C software. Prior to his job at Quasset, Patrick worked for three years as a Software Engineer at Canon. His focus areas included Full Stack Web Development, Embedded Software Development for Cameras, Printers, various Wireless Sensors, Embedded Software Development focusing on Bluetooth Low Energy and Wi-Fi Security and Test Design and Test Code Development for Automated Testing. Patrick has acquired a certification for Fundamentals of Engineering – Information-Technology Engineers Examination issued by Information Technology Promotion Agency, Japan.
Patrick is a graduate of Computer Science from the University of the Philippines, Los Baños.
In the fall of 2019, Justin Adrian Pelayo joined Quasset as a 3D Software Developer. Justin is involved in the development of software solutions that leverage 3D rendering technologies and data visualization, including the development of Quasset’s AssetBuilder. Before joining the Quasset team, he worked as a Software Engineer for Samsung R&D where he was involved with the development of software solutions for 5G wireless technology.
Justin graduated cum laude from the University of the Philippines Diliman in Electronics & Communications Engineering where he was a College Scholar/Dean’s Lister, and is a Licensed Electronics and Communications Engineer.
Bernie Ngojo Jr. joined Quasset at the end of 2019 as a Senior ASP.NET Developer. He is assigned full-time to Quasset’s remote client development team, contributing to the development of well-structured software applications. He specializes in designing, tailoring and developing applications using the .net framework.
Prior to joining Quasset, Bernie worked as a Senior Software Engineer for almost seven years at Infor. He has extensive experience in designing, development and maintenance of web and mobile applications for the public sector.
Bernie has an academic background in Information Technology and is a Microsoft Certified Professional.
As of February 2020, Ferdinand Ubanos is General Manager of the Quasset Philippines office, as well as Quasset’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
With 20+ years of extensive experience and expertise in corporate operations, financial planning, and forecasting, auditing, and management, Mr. Ubanos brings a demonstrated history of working in technology and consumer electronics industries. Prior to his appointment at Quasset, he was Chief Financial Officer at Cortex Technologies Corporation, a company focused on emerging technology and innovative products and services. He also served as Concepcion Midea’s Finance Director, as well as Business Unit Controller-Asia Pacific at Applus RTD, an international inspection company that carries out a wide range of advanced non-destructive testing, inspection and asset integrity services.
